Logging In
Predictions uses two-factor authentication for all users. We do not allow users to remove this protection due to the sensitive nature of the information contained in the data-base.
Go to the Predictions login page.
Enter your email and password.
When prompted, open your authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or similar) on your phone.
Find the entry for Predictions — it shows a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
Enter that code on the login screen within the time limit. You're in! If the code doesn't work, make sure your phone's time is set to automatic (network-provided) to avoid sync issues.
What is 2FA and why do we require it? Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra security layer beyond your password. Even if someone gets your password, they can't log in without the time-based code from your authenticator app. We use an authenticator app (TOTP) method for stronger security than SMS.
Which authenticator apps work with Predictions? Any standard TOTP app, such as:
Google Authenticator
Authy
Microsoft Authenticator
2FAS
Bitwarden Authenticator
We recommend Google Authenticator or Authy for ease of use.
How do I set up 2FA during login or in account settings? (If not already enabled)
After logging in with a password (or during first-time setup), go to Account Settings > Security.
Select "Enable 2FA" or "Set up Authenticator."
Scan the QR code displayed on screen with your authenticator app.
Enter the 6-digit code from the app to verify and complete setup.
Important: Save your backup/recovery codes (usually 8–10 one-time codes) in a secure place (e.g., password manager or printed and stored safely). These let you log in if you lose access to the app.
What if I delete my authenticator app or lose access to it?
If you've deleted the app but still have access to your account (e.g., you're already logged in on another device/browser, or can log in via recovery codes):
Log in using a backup/recovery code from when you set up 2FA (if you saved them).
Each code works once — enter it instead of the app code.
Once logged in, go to Account Settings > Security.
Disable the old 2FA setup.
Set up 2FA again by scanning a new QR code with your reinstalled or new authenticator app.
I don't have my backup codes and can't log in at all
Contact Predictions support immediately (info@predictprotection.com)
Provide:
Your registered email/username.
Any proof of identity/ownership (e.g., last login details, associated payment info if applicable).
Details about what happened (deleted app, lost phone, etc.).
Our support team can guide you through a secure account recovery process, which may involve temporary access or manual 2FA reset (this is intentionally slower for security reasons). Do not attempt to create a new account — this could complicate recovery.
Prevention tips to avoid this in the future
Use an authenticator app with cloud backup/sync:
Authy → Enable multi-device backups (tied to your phone number).
Google Authenticator → Enable cloud sync (Google account-linked, available in recent versions).
This lets you restore codes on a new device by signing in.
Always save your backup/recovery codes securely when first setting up 2FA.
Consider enrolling a second authenticator device or method if available.
Keep your phone's time set to automatic to prevent code sync issues.
