Safe Travel in Risky Environments Seminar (STRES)

The key is avoidance. Learn the methods to plan operations in hostile environments in order to identify potential threats and mitigate them. This portion is mostly classroom based with some tabletop exercises built in.

Although avoidance is the key, there are times when crisis is unavoidable. We will collaborate with you to ensure you can plan to avoid but react responsibly when it is necessary.

Intelligence is often equated to spying, lying, and generally unethical behavior. The truth is that virtually every organization in the world uses some form of intelligence collection and analysis to avoid crisis situations. Learn how to collect and parse through the information necessary to avoid and react to crisis situations from former military and agency intelligence professionals.

Learn how to navigate through choke points. This includes navigating customs, government check points, and illegal checkpoints.

The successful resolution of a crisis event in a hostile environment often hinges on the organizations ability to message with wisdom. Learn how to inform members of the organization, family, and when necessary, the public in a way that adds to the safety and continuity of your people and organization.

Kidnapping used to be a low probability, catastrophic outcome event. In our current threat environment, it really depends on where you are operating. Learn how to avoid, react, and recover from a kidnapping event from experts.

All of our training events follow the crawl, walk run method used by most security forces in the United States. We work diligently to show the student what right looks like and then put that training into action. The point is to train the student beyond the classroom, identifying and teaching critical principals that must be known to avoid and react to a crisis event.
